Located in northern Nevada, Pine Forest Recreation Area has rugged terrain, panoramic mountain views plus camping, hiking trails and excellent fishing. Motorized use is permitted on existing roads but note that there are no designated ATV trails. Dispersed camping is permitted throughout the area but Onion Valley Reservoir has a semi-primitive campground with six sites, each with a picnic table, fire pit plus two vault toilets. There is no charge for camping but sites are on a first come, first serve basis.
