Tonopah Dunes

AKA: Pole Line Dunes, Tonopah, Crescent Dunes

Summary

This is the rough equivalent to Sand Mountain, but without the crowds, fees and regulations. The dunes are steep and tall, and there are plenty of jumping opportunities, but use caution and beware the many cutaway back sides. The sand is medium fine so paddle tires are recommended for motorcycles. The staging area is soft and deep at the edges and there are no services.
