Summary


Coffee Pot Road #600 opens a large portion of the Deep Creek region to the snowmobiler. After crossing the Forest Boundary, about 12 miles up the road, the area on either side of the road is open to over the snow vehicles. Be careful not to cross into the Flat Tops Wilderness, however, where mechanized vehicles are not allowed at any time.

Directions

Travel 13 miles west of Eagle on I-70 to the Dotsero exit and follow the signs for Sweetwater/ Burns by turning north onto Colorado River Rd. Travel for 1.8 mile and turn left onto Coffee Pot Road #600. The first mile of this road passes through private property. Please respect property rights. If snow impedes normal vehicle travel, autos may be parked on the road in such a way as to not block traffic or driveways. Snowmobiles may then be driven up the road and onto public lands.
