Haystack Mountain OHV Area has miles of desert trails with plenty of scenic views overlooking the Pecos River. Haystack Mountain OHV Area has a nice variety of sand washes, rocky sections, hill climbs and some single track. Camping is permitted and amenities include picnic tables with shelters, BBQ grills and restroom facilities but water is not available. Nearby Bottomless Lakes State Park has RV hookups, swimming beach and several days use areas.
