Summary


The trail is open to ATV, OHM, and mountain bike use from 12:01 a.m. April 15th to 11:59 December 15th each year. The Monday Creek area of the Wayne National Forest provides some excellent opportunities for riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and off-highway motorcycles (OHMs). This trail system, north of Nelsonville, provides approximately 75 miles of designated trails to off-road vehicle riders, mountain bikers, and hikers. Loading ramps are available at the New Straitsville and White Oak Trailheads. The trail is closed during the winter months to ATV, OHM, and mountain bike use from December 16 to April 14 each year.

FS Regulation

You must have a Wayne Trail permit and an OHIO APV sticker to ride these trails. Only vehicles 50 inches or less can ride these trails. Possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within 100 feet of trail centerlines and trailheads and protective helmets and eye protection must be worn per a Forest order .

General Notes

A topographic map is available by clicking here. You will also receive a map when you purchase a Wayne National Forest trail permit. A new section of trail near Camp Ohio is now open; please check ythe OHV trail map for exact location. Over the past fthe years, 18 old wooden bridges have been upgraded to concrete or steel trail bridges. Additionally, restroom facilities at trailheads have been upgraded to meet accessibility requirements. Parking: Ample parking is available at trailheads.
