Eight campsites and five picnic sites are popular in summer and the cozy warming hut and extensive system of groomed snowmobile trails attract snow enthusiasts in winter. Volunteers from the Mt Shasta Sno-Mobilers Club are active on the forest.

From I-5 in Weed, CA travel northwest on US Hwy 97 approx 17 miles to Forest Road 42N12/Deer Mtn Road/ Forest Road 19. Turn east approx 4 miles to the Deer Mountain Snowpark.
Parking: Winter overnight parking for RVs available.
