The Morapos Trailhead offers dispersed camping in the northernmost section of the White River National Forest, in an area adjacent to the Routt National Forest. The site offers access to a roadless section that is popular with hunters.

The Morapos Trailhead area is very busy during elk hunting season. Please use as little of the graveled surface as possible, and locate camp kitchens, etc., on the grass adjacent to your vehicle.
