This huge area has over 300 miles of marked trails. East Fort Rock OHV Trail System is well maintained and is a good place to take the family or a beginner because it mainly consists of long and easy looped trails. Vegetation ranges from ponderosa pine trees and various sage and scrub brush. There are multiple staging areas along with four play areas to check out. The trails are open year-round but the best time to visit is during the spring and fall months. Camping is permitted and all staging areas have information kiosks, trail maps and vault toilets.
