The dunes lie along the coast, with the estuaries of three major river valleys connected by two long stretches of sand. The 40 miles of dunes cape are made accessible at many points along Highway 101. There are sand roads and designated rides between South Jetty to the Siltcoos River in the Florence Area.

This large paved parking area can accomodate longer trailers, but can often be full by mid-morning during the busy summer season and sunny weather weekends. OHV riders have access to large open sand dunes, designated OHV trails through vegetated areas as well as the beach. Goosepasture Staging also provides access to South Jetty Sand Camping sites. Please Note: If visiting on holidays and summer weekends the parking lot may fill to capacity quickly. Staging area gate opens at 6:00 AM for the early arrivals that want an excellant chance at a parking space. Parking: There are numerous pull in parking sites as well as larger pull-through sites.
