This popular offroad area has hundreds of miles of woods trails that range from twisty and narrow singletrack to wide and rugged 4x4 roads. Most of the trails form long loops that wind nearby old mines and cabins while providing spectacular mountain views. The trail system has two three designated staging areas - the north-western staging and middle staging areas (Phantom Creek and Rule Ridge) has room for trailers while the eastern staging areas (Lower Trout Creek) has enough space for several compact trucks. Primitive camping is permitted but there is no water so bring your own.
